A group of frogs was playing when two of them fell into a deep pit. When other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored their comments and tried hard to jump out of the pit but all in vain. Finally, one of the frogs gave up but the other continued to jump even harder and made it out.

So, this story proves that you should never give up trying till the time you succeed.

Once two friends called Harry and Garry came to a city to earn money. They went to a rich merchant for a job. The merchant gave each of them a cane basket and pointing towards a well in his garden said, Take these baskets and draw water from the well till dusk

Harry thought it foolish to draw water in a cane basket. So, he slept. On the other hand, Garry kept working. After few hours, when he drew the basket up, he saw some gold coins in the basket.

He took them to the merchant who rewarded him and gave him a job too. Harry went away ashamed.

Self Appraisal

Posted by Raj's blog on August 31, 2013

A  little boy went to a telephone booth which was at the cash counter of a  store and dialed a number.
The store-owner observed and listened to the  conversation:

: “Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?
: (at the other end of the phone line) “I  already have someone to cut my lawn.”
: “Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price
than the person who cuts your lawn now.”
: I’m very satisfied with the person who is  presently cutting my lawn.
: (with more perseverance) “Lady, I’ll even sweep the floor  and the stairs of your house for free.
         : No, thank you.

With a smile on his face, the little  boy replaced the receiver. The store-owner, who was listening to all this,  walked over to the boy.

Store Owner       : “Son… I like  your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a  job.”
                  : “No thanks,
Store Owner
:  But you were really pleading for one.
: No Sir, I was just  checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is  working for that lady I was talking to!”
